Meetings Are Now Hybrid:

The Lower Shore Progressive Caucus is a political and activist organization that covers Maryland's Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties. The Lower Shore Progressive Caucus is unaffiliated with any political party and is committed to empowering working people. We do that by building a Progressive Movement both locally and on a larger scale to elect progressive representatives, enact progressive legislation, and by working to solve the economic, political, social, racial, and environmental injustices we face.

Forwarding Progressive Causes on the Lower Eastern Shore and Beyond

Community Outreach Committee- help plan events and engage with the community

Communications Committee- help educate Lower Shore residents about progressive values and how they help improve our lives

Electoral Committee- help vet and advocate for progressive candidates for all levels of Maryland representation

Legislative Committee- coordinate activities to pass progressive legislation in Maryland

Being a Progressive means striving for a just and equitable society where everyone's voice matters. It's about understanding that each of us plays a critical role in shaping our future. At the Lower Shore Progressive Caucus, we work to ensure that this vision becomes a reality.

Progressivism champions the rights of all individuals, irrespective of their background. It means advocating for economic fairness, equal rights, social justice, and environmental sustainability. It's about acknowledging our past, learning from it, and using that knowledge to build a brighter, more inclusive future.

At the Lower Shore Progressive Caucus, we believe in driving positive, progressive change through the power of electoral politics. Our mission extends beyond advocacy and education - we are deeply committed to electing progressive candidates to offices across the Lower Shore and currently have 30 elected Progressives in office on the Lower Shore.

We identify, support, and campaign for candidates who are dedicated to our shared progressive values. These candidates champion causes like economic fairness, social justice, and environmental sustainability. Our efforts range from local municipal seats to federal legislative positions and everything in between, all critical in shaping policies that directly impact our communities.

Our successes are testament to the power of a united, progressive community. By electing candidates who truly represent us, we're ensuring that the change we advocate for becomes a reality in our legislation and our lives. Join us as we continue our work for a more equitable, inclusive, and progressive Lower Shore.
